My
name is Ben Cornish and I have had a love for animals all my
life and especially for dogs. I studied Zoology at University and
worked at Gatwick Zoo and Jersey Zoo. I have also worked at the
R.S.P.C.A in the kennels and in 2004 I started working as a mobile dog
groomer. My new business is called 'Woofing
Marvellous'. This means I get to work will all shapes and sizes of dogs
including Yorkshire terriers to German Shepherds and Great Danes.
There are not many breeds of dogs I have not met and I treat them all as
my own.
There are two
very important dogs in my life now. Merlin (pictured on the left) who is a Golden Retriever
and lives with my parents, and Shadow (pictured below) a collie cross who lives with my
partners parents. Both have their own personality and are always up
too mischief!
I first came
across Jan Fennell’s method of Amichien®
Bonding from a colleague, and saw
from personal experience of a dog grooming clients attempt at Amichien®
Bonding and the success of the method. From a dog who was stressed,
aggressive and incredibly nervous to a dog who was relaxed and a pleasure
to groom.
I went on the
Jan Fennel Canine Communication Foundation course in 2007 and completed
the Advanced course in January 2008. The knowledge and understanding
I have gained from the courses is invaluable and aids all my work with
dogs. Jan Fennell and the
team including me are always learning and gaining more knowledge, which we
do to help the dogs in the best way possible.
